List of topics

The currently selected topics are listed below. For a more accurate description of the contents of each topic and of its schedule, please refer to the corresponding page.

A topic is considered "technical" (materialized by the [TECH] symbol) when it is made of talks which require an advanced technical level, and "public" (materialized by the [PUBLIC] symbol) if it can be followed by people having no specific technical knowledge.

Some topics are made of presentations in Enlish only, or in French only, or both. This is materialized by the corresponding flags.

Among the topics that we would like to see managed, but have not been launched yet, by lack of volunteers, one can find:

  • Uniformization of distributions

  • Libre data formats

  • Desktop applications

  • Computer graphics

  • Geographical Information Systems

The schedules of all of the topics follow the general schedule of the LSM.

Definition of topics

The definition and the management of the topics are made by the program committee of the LSM, but suggestions and contributions from anybody are welcome.

To contribute to the organization of the LSM or to send comments and suggestions, please send e-mail to the org mailing list at org@lsm.abul.org.

If you are willing to actively participate in organizing a topic session, or propose a new sub-topic, please contact the corresponding session chair, whose name appears on top of the corresponding page.

If you are willing to propose a new topic, please send an e-mail to the lsm list, or contact directly the president of the program committee.
